First Lady Samina Alvi makes an appearance In honor of International Women’s Day.

The Islamabad Serena Hotel’s 20th anniversary festivities included a Women’s Day event this year.For International Women’s Day, Serena Hotels held a Networking Breakfast on the 8th of March in order to commemorate the achievements of brilliant women.

This event was a celebration for women from all walks of life and a significant number of Diplomats and their families were there to engage in the festivities. The First Lady, Mrs. Samina Alvi, was the guest of honor.

When asked about the company’s corporate social responsibility programs, Serena Hotels CEO Aziz Boolani said, “At Serena, we think that investing in female entrepreneurs is one approach to raise the quality of life in communities.”

On International Women’s Day, we hope that preconceptions, bigotry, and discrimination will be dismantled, and that we may all come together to celebrate a varied, equal, and inclusive society! A world where individuality is acknowledged and cherished.

Women’s organizations like Indus Heritage, Andaaz, Mashal Association, Air Organics, Behbud Crafts, Care for Special Children Organization, Pakistan Navy Women Association, Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association, and the Aga Khan Econ displayed a variety of stalls with Pakistani handicrafts and traditional items made by differently abled children and women artisans in underprivileged homes.

Her Excellency also strolled the exhibits, showing an interest in the goods on display. As for the craftspeople, she lauded them as well. In a well-decorated Sheesh Mahal, visitors really enjoyed live music and an amusing trivia game.
