Bollywood Actors More Deserving Of Our Attention Than Over-Hyped Star Kids

From being an up-and-coming star to watch out for in the early 90s to becoming one of the most formidable Khans to rule the movie industry, Shah Rukh Khan’s journey has been the perfect example of the Bollywood dream coming true.

One of the many reasons people related to SRK was because he was a regular, middle class guy who rose through the ranks right in front of us. But, things haven’t worked out that well for anyone else since. There haven’t been too many non-legacy actors ruling the roost in Bollywood. A few prominent exceptions who have made a mark include Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kangana Ranaut, and Deepika Padukone.

These days, people obsess about star kids way more than they ever did before. The reason why Jhanvi and Khushi Kapoor have such large followings, despite zero Bollywood releases under their belts, is largely owed to the popularity of social media and our obsession with the lives of these celebrity kids.

As a result, it has become tougher for actors who don’t come from filmy families to make it in Bollywood. But, there are now quite a few actors who seem to be well on their way to super stardom, mostly thanks to their acting chops. To be honest, we are far more excited about their careers than that of many of our current crop of overhyped star kids.
