Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam added another feather to his crown on Tuesday as he became the Asian with the most ODI runs in the quickest time.

When he scored the 15th run of his inning during Pakistan’s first ODI against Australia in Lahore, the 27-year-old batsman attained this milestone. He needed 82 innings to reach 4,000 ODI runs, only one more than Hashim Amla, who achieved the feat in 81 innings.

He is also the first Pakistani player to reach 4,000 ODI runs in fewer than 100 innings. Prior to Babar, the quickest Pakistani (now the second-fastest) was Mohammad Yousuf, who needed 110 innings to accomplish this milestone.

It only took 14 innings for the Pakistani player to get from 3,000 to 4,000 runs. David Warner, with 12 innings, was the only player who required less innings than Babar to get from 3K to 4K runs.

Overall, Babar Azam is Pakistan’s 15th ODI player to reach 4,000 runs.
