Asian Cricket Council Announce Asia Cup 2022 to be held in Sri Lanka Starting from August.

The Asian mega event will be place in Sri Lanka between August and September of this year, and it was determined during the conference that it would be a T20I tournament. Finalized the 2022 Asia Cup during a meeting in Colombo on Saturday, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) said.

Between August 27 and September 11, six Asian teams, comprising India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and a Qualifier, will compete.

From August 20 to August 26, UAE and Kuwait will compete in the Qualifier event.

Since its beginning in Sharjah in 1984, the Asia Cup has been held in 14 different nations, with Pakistan set to host the next edition in 2023.

This year’s Asia Cup will be held in India, which has won the event seven times, followed by Sri Lanka, which has won the championship five times, and Pakistan.
