The two have often spoken lovingly and affectionately of each other. Virat had called Anushka the “captain, off the field” in an earlier interview. He had gushed about her enthusiasm for the sport and said, “She is very passionate about the game. She understands the game and she can understand the sentiments of all the players, what they go through and stuff, which I think is the most beautiful thing.”
